I invite you to read my poem.
Some tried to put out the Light
The Light was put in darkness, for 3 nights, and 3 days,
They thought this was the end; foes, strangers,
And finally even His friends parted and went their own ways.
He gave His life a ransom for many
All those who would come to Him
He laid His life down
But death could not hold the One who wears the Crown.
Death and darkness once went hand in hand
But this is no longer true
Although we may die, we can have life,
Through Jesus, we can have life anew!
It is finished, He cried!
His spirit He then gave up
Enveloped in darkness
He had drunk the cup.
All thought this was the end
Many felt lost, sad and bewildered
Why had He come?
The last three years were now a mystery, and somewhat blurred.
But death and darkness could not hold Him
The Light emerged from the dark stronghold
Leaving the tomb empty
To Jesus' disciples Mary went and told.
God's sun might shine into the dark open tomb
But God's Son shines into the dark cold world
Jesus is the true Light which gives light to every man
Of every tribe, nation, and every clan.

One Flower
Yet three make the one

Beauty from Your Hand
I invite you to read a poem.
As I gaze upon the silky oak
In all it's flowering glory
Gold shines in a beautiful blue sky
I bet it could tell a story!
Many birds swarming to it
It's like a musical tree
Colour is not it's only blessing
It's nectar also draws the butterfly and the bee.

Jesus is The Word
I invite you to read my poem.
In the beginning was the Word,
Jesus is The Word
The Word became flesh and dwelt among us,
Read on, if you have not yet heard.
Jesus is the Word,
He is the way, the truth, and the life
No one comes to the Father except through His Son,
Only Jesus; He's the One.

The magpies and the crow
I invite you to read a poem that I've written.
Morning long.
On the power lines in the distance
I could see the silhouette of these sweet birds
Birds of a feather
Who had flocked together.
Then I heard it
A crow
A different sound
From among the flow.
He had joined in the choir
Contributing too
Singing his tune
Music by the motley crew.

Hope is Jesus
I invite you to read my poem.
Where or who do you place your hope
Is it a person, or a place?
Perhaps a politician or party, doctor or scientist
Or perhaps it's something, that you continue to chase.
Is it man in whom you place your hope?
Or maybe a business or career
What about stored riches,
Or a seer,
Perhaps even a good news report of something that you hear.
God's children aren't immune to hurt,
But we know Who Hope Is.
We know what it is to be hard-pressed on every side
But we know, we are His
And in Him, we abide.
Psalm 33:20-22, Psalm 62:5, 2 Corinthians 4:8-9.

Satisfied Soul
I invite you to read my poem.
My soul is in rest
My soul is fed.
He restores my soul
For me, He bled.
My soul is satisfied
Already knowing its home.
My soul is anchored in hope
I leave you with this question, from my poem.
How's your soul?
Is there a hole.
Is it satisfied?
If not, come to the One, who can make it whole.

Love Unlimited
I invite you to read a poem that I have written.
Jesus became ugly,
So that we could become, beautiful.
He wasn't recognisable
He paid the ransom, in full.
A depth of love we cannot understand,
A love we cannot comprehend.
So deep, yet so high, so long, and so wide
Open your heart, and He will come in like the tide.
Truly a love we can receive,
Truly a love that is pure.
Truly a love that overflows
No boundary, His love knows.
A love with no fences,
Not bolted, nor barred.
A love unrestrained
By the One Who was marred.
Isaiah 52:14
Isaiah 53:5
Ephesians 3:18-19
1 Timothy 2:6
1 John 4:9-10

The True Bread
I invite you to read a poem that I have written.
There is bread for the body,
It sustains us for a few days
Helps to keep our body alive,
Without it, our body decays.
We get hungry,
We were designed that way
We hunger for food,
Every day.
But what about food for our soul,
Do you hunger bread for your soul?
Is your soul weak?
Is the hunger taking its toll?
John 6:27. John 6:35. John 6:48-51.

Treasure
I invite you to read a poem I have written.
Looking for treasure,
Is it a cheque in the letterbox
Is it around the corner,
Is it in your stocks?
Searching for treasure,
Is it at the bottom of the sea
Is it in a pot at the end of a rainbow
Or perhaps a house or car, in which you are handed a key?
Treasure,
What does it represent to you
Fine pearls and gold bars,
First class, or fast cars?
Worldly riches might make you comfortable,
Worldly riches might make you pleased; for a moment in time
But how is your soul?
Jesus is offering you a life-line.
John 14:6

The Son is shining through
I invite you to read a poem that I have written.
Cloud covers the sky,
Gloomy and dark
As I sit and sip my coffee,
The cloud starts to part.
There is a break in this dark cloud,
Revealing blue sky and bright light
The sun is shining through the darkness,
Oh What a glorious sight!

No Longer Lost
I invite you to read a poem that I have written.
God and Psalm 23 inspired me to write this poem.
He provides for me,
And watches over me
He is my Shepherd,
From the hold of sin and death, I have been set free.
He is my Shepherd,
He makes me rest
My Provider,
Oh, how I am blessed!
I was lost,
But now, I am in His sheepfold
My soul is now at peace,
Sin and death have no longer, any hold.
I am a part of His fold,
My sin He has bore
He is my Saviour,
I now go through the eternity door.
My Shepherd keeps watch,
I don't need to fear
Because I know,
That He is near.
My Shepherd will get me through whatever is ahead,
He can do it
My soul is in His Hands,
His correction, brings protection.
I am His,
And He is mine
Jesus rescued me,
And calls me to come dine.
My Shepherd has anointed me,
I am of His fold
He keeps me close,
He doesn't leave me out in the wold.
I can't capture all His goodness to me,
His mercy is afresh each new day
I have been acquitted,
There is nothing for me to pay.
I am known by my Shepherd,
I am no longer lost
His love is truly immeasurable,
Great, was the cost.
ALL PRAISE TO OUR LOVING GOD.

The overlooked, rejected, merciful Tree
I invite you to read a poem I have written.
The overlooked, rejected, merciful Tree
The Tree of Life and the Tree of the knowledge of good and evil
Were amongst the many trees in the Garden of Eden.
Adam and Eve could eat from any tree, except one,
But they chose to eat from it anyway,
Now their bodies would age, and decay.
After they had rejected God and His commandment,
And had eaten from the tree that came with death,
They could no longer remain in Eden & eat from The Tree of Life
Their lives now destined for misery and strife.
It was a tree, that Jesus was nailed to,
A lifeless dead tree
Used to bring pain and death,
He endured, so that we could be set free.
For many hours He hung on this tree,
His death granting us a New Covenant with His own blood
What sacrifice,
Grace came into the world, as a flood.
He died on this tree and his spirit returned to His Father,
Three days and three nights went by
Having the right to take up His life,
"He has Risen", was the cry!
Beautiful new life bursting forth,
The Son had rose
Ushering in hope and redemption into a dark world,
His Glorious Light glows.
John 20:25-27, Galatians 3:13-14, Romans 8:1-4, Hebrews 9:11-15, 9:16-22, 9:23-28,13:20, Matthew 26:28, John 1:17, Matthew 12:40, John 10:18, Matthew 28:6-7, John 8:12, Genesis Chapters 2 &3

Poem: I am not alone
An invitation to you to read my latest poem.
I am not alone
Step by step, i know that You are beside me,
I am not alone
In every Valley You are my company,
The Living Chief Cornerstone.
Your peace is like rest for a weary traveler,
Your presence is like drops of rain on dry parched land
Your guidance is like the lighthouse protecting sailors from danger,
And Your Majesty is Grand!
I am not alone,
You are near
I am not alone,
I don't need to steer.
Ephesians 2:19-22.
