The magpies and the crow

I invite you to read a poem that I've written.

A sweet sound

Caroling magpies

A beautiful song
Morning long.

On the power lines in the distance
I could see the silhouette of these sweet birds
Birds of a feather
Who had flocked together.

Then I heard it
A crow
A different sound
From among the flow.

He had joined in the choir
Contributing too
Singing his tune
Music by the motley crew.
