The Lion of the Tribe of Judah - KING!

I invite you to read my poem.

The Lion of the Tribe of Judah - KING!
To Him we sing.
Songs of worship we bring,
On instruments of string.

Our King is wise
You can see it in His eyes.
Our beautiful King,
Worship Him, each heart cries.

Our King is majestic
Royal!
He is the King of kings,
His Kingdom, He brings.

Our King is powerful
He came as the Lamb of God.
But He will come to Zion,
And will stand as the Roaring Lion!

1 Timothy 6:15: which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of Lords,

Revelation 5:5: But one of the elders said to me, "Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals."

What is Life?

I invite you to read my poem.

What is life?
Is it making the most of it?
Is it a life-long list of experiences?
Is it being honoured?
Is it a walk down the line of sameness?

What is life?
A mere existence?
Perhaps a bucket list?
Regret, shame or bitterness
Perhaps, anyone's guess.

What is life?
A search for treasures?
A search for fame?
A search for notoriety?
A search for the latest trending game?

What is life?
Is it heartache,
Pain,
Grief,
Or a life that is all too brief?

There is one who had the power of death
This one is the devil
But Jesus
Through (His own) death
Released us.

Although we might die
We live
Although we might suffer
We rejoice
And lift up our voice.

Romans 5:10-12
Colossians 1:13-14
Hebrews 2:14-15

Poem: Reconciled to God

I invite you to read my poem.

Be reconciled to God
Come to Him this day
He sent His own dear Son
To us to make a Way.

Through the departure
The covetousness, greed, and hatred
The unforgiveness and pride
We gradually made our, own bed.
Image result for making a way
God loves us so much
He made a Way where there was no way
We were cut off from God because of our sin
But God has stuck with the human race through thick and thin.
Image result for making a way
God didn't leave us orphans
He made us family again
Your Father in heaven is looking down
For you, His own dear Son was slain.

2 Corinthians 5:18-19, 5:21

Next Life

I invite you to read my poem.

This life is only a shadow
A passing slide show
There is another life that's eternal
A life in which we're not tossed to and fro.

Jesus Christ is the Way
He is the Way to this next life
Where there's no more heartache and pain
No fires and flooding rain.

A Life Laid Down

I invite you to read my poem.

God made us in His own image
He loved creating us and our earthly home
He spent time visiting us in the cool of the day
He would come and say gidday.

God created
He is Creator
Some of those God had created, chose to defect
Out they trekked.

Satan came down
He came down and caused chaos
His scheming worked
In a serpent, he lurked.

Adam and his wife had now eaten
From the only off-limits tree
They consciously decided to take and eat
What was not theirs to take and eat.

Satan had brought Eve's focus
To this one tree
Saying, you will not die;
But like God you will be.

But in their day
Adam and Eve did die
Full of sin and shame
While neither accepting the blame.

With Adam and Eve being our first parents
Man has struggled with sin ever since
But God didn't walk away
He chose to stay.

Sin entered the world through one man; Adam
And death came through sin
But God did not abandon us
He stayed with us through thick and thin.

Jesus Christ paid the ransom
He chose to lay down His own life
We were redeemed by God's own Son
Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

King

I invite you to read my poem.

Jesus is King
Supreme
King of kings
Countless, in adoration, each one sings.

Jesus is King
Resolute
Powerful
Praise Him with harp and flute.

Jesus our King
Fierce, and protective
The Good Shepherd
He died so that we could live.

Jesus is King
Illustrious and Grand
Resplendent
Before Him, we stand.

Living Hope

I invite you to read my poem:

What is hope?
Something longed for.
Worldly hope is just a desire floating around
But Living Hope is amongst us
An Anchor - weighty and strong
A heavy Rock song.
Image result for a large rock in water
Living Hope has a name
And His Name is Jesus
Living Hope is not built on circumstances
Circumstances rise and fall
But Living Hope endures
A permanent, living wall.

Living Hope is abiding
Living Hope is strong and sure
Living Hope is alive
Living Hope is real
Living Hope is Jesus
Living Hope; no-one can rob you of, or steal.

Hebrews 6:19-20, 1 Peter 1:3.

Trust

I invite you to read my poem.

No matter what's going on
In your life
Or around you
Even much strife
When madness is rife
Cling on to Him for dear life.

Tossed about in an endless sea
Waves so much higher than you
They come relentlessly
Crashing down upon you
Breathers are few
You become tired and blue.

Some days you are so consumed
You can not see the Light
You may not see Him
But don't ever doubt
And never stop putting your trust
In the One Who will break the drought!

Adoption

I invite you to read my poem.

Adoption
It is the care of another who can't care for themselves
Those who are looking for someone to hug and to share
For someone who will give them selfless love and care.
Image result for drawing of a child holding a balloon
Someone who will watch them dance
Someone who will listen to them sing
Someone who will make them lunches
Someone who will push them on the swing.

Someone to say to goodnight
And Good morning when they awake
Someone who will give them a smile
Someone who will cut up their steak.

Adoption, is a house that becomes a home
When someone is there in times of loneliness
In times of need
In times of life's hurts, and in times of stress
Loving hearts who only want for this child, the best!

Dear Sweet Penny

I invite you to read my poem.

She is 12 weeks
In her mother's womb
She is safe and cocooned
I do wonder if she can smell her mum's, perfume?

She has ten fingers
And ten toes
In this amazing environment;
She grows.

A double heartbeat
Heart to heart
Her mum's, and her very own;
They're never apart.

Always aware of each other
Such shared intimacy
Mum is her haven hide-away
Night, and Day.

Do not fear, He is not here

I invite you to read my poem.

Don't fear
He is not here
In the tomb, that is
Mary shed more than one tear.

She was confused and alarmed
Expecting to see His dead body
Not only did she watch Him die
There were only wraps where His body did lie.

I say to you, do not fear
He is not here
In the tomb, that is
For He is alive, not dead
Happy tears, we shed!

I say to you, do not fear
He made a way where there was no way
He was the Way, and IS the Way
It is a Glorious NEW Day
Image result for empty tomb Jesus
Do not fear
He is not there
In the tomb, that is
Call out to Jesus, even in a whispered prayer.

The Master Creator

I invite you to read a poem.

If I live for a hundred years
I would have the knowledge the size of a grain of sand
Each and every star has a name
And He spreads them out with His Hand.

If I live for a thousand years
I would have the wisdom the size of a gnat
He gives wise counsel to those who ask
He knew the earth was round when many thought it was flat.
Image result for beautiful pink heart
If I live for a million years
I would have the understanding the size of a flea
Many things; we know only in part
Even collectively, it's only the start.

If I live for eternity
I would have revelation upon revelation
Of Him
My joy, would overflow the brim.

Be still and know that I am God

I invite you to read my poem

Sit and ponder
Sit in My presence
In awe and wonder.

Be still and know that I AM God
Come aside
Linger
In me, abide.

Come today
Come now
Come and stay.
