Poem: God is Love

An invitation to read a poem

Poem: God is Love

Lost and full of sin,
Yet not abandoned;
In Christ, receiving the Spirit of adoption,
In praise, this is my song.

God so loved us that He sent His only begotten Son,
To die on the Cross;
His life a ransom,
To save that which was lost.
I have been set free,
To be who God created me to be;
Eternity is in my heart,
We were never to be apart.

I am now a new creation,
I live; because Jesus died;
I am God's daughter,
His loving arms open wide.

God's Amazing Love

I invite you to read my poem.

God's Amazing Love

We give a bunch of roses to the one we love.
God gave us the rose bush.

We give chocolate to the one we love.
God gave us the cacao tree.

We give loved ones, balloons.
God gave us the sun and the moon.

We give jewelry to the one we love.
God gave us the silver and gold.

We give loved ones cards with words of love.
God gave us language.

God loved us so, that He gave His only begotten Son. John 3:16.

Refreshing Life Giving Water

An invitation to you to read my poem.

It is raining today,
Droplets from the sky.
Life-giving water;
Quenching the earth, that was dry.

Creation awaits the rain,
The animals, and the dormant seed.
The grass and the riverbeds;
So too, the farmer and home gardener, who have mouths to feed.

Life comes back to dry desolate places,
Places where there's been no life and no colour.
It rains,
And almost instantly, New life; the water sustains.

Rain brings life to lifeless desolate places,
A sudden new burst.
God gives life giving water;
To those souls who thirst.

Psalm 42:1. John 7:37.

Majesty

I invite you to read a poem that i have written.

How great are Your works O God;
They are, everywhere!
From the numerous stars in the night sky,
To the leaf eating Koala Bear.

The bird's chorus brings me delight;
The magnificent rainbow,
What an amazing sight!
To a dark sky it brings colour and light.

The sweet burst of the mulberry,
Picked straight from the tree.
Apples, figs and strawberries,
Along with sweet honey,
On our table, thanks to the bee.

The rainforest, and the sea,
How wonderful and marvelous are Your works;
Created by Your mighty hand,
Even down to each grain of sand.

Bible verses: Genesis 1:31, Isaiah 40:25-26

God's handiwork

I invite you to take a closer look at God's handiwork.

There's the rainbow,
And the stars;
The sun, the moon,
And of course, Mars.

Countless stars,
Look up and be amazed;
Seen from our tiny planet,
All there, for our gaze.

So much to see, so many wonders,
The colour blue seen from afar;
Sunbeams reaching down, making contact,
From the sun, the solar system's, centre star.
Image result for stars in the night sky
Psalm 19:1.

Poem: Hope Floats

I invite you to reflect on a poem about hope.

What is hope?
It's what we clutch onto with every fibre of our being.
It's what can pull us through the darkest hour;
It's what can send, negative thoughts fleeing.

It is hope that keeps us afloat,
From sinking below the waves.
Keeps us from drowning in the turmoil;
It is hope that reminds us, that we are not slaves.

It is hope that must remain in our vision,
Never lose it or let it stray.
Never look away, not even for a second;
Don't let it get away.

Amoung the torrents and deep waters,
Place your hope somewhere safe.
Protect it with all your being;
Nestle it in, right beside your love and faith.

1 Corinthians 13:13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. NKJV

Taste and See

I invite you today to taste and see that the LORD is good.

Do you feel that God is far away from you?
Do you think He is not near?
Do you wonder if He's listening?
Do you feel that you are not held dear?

Do you struggle with doubt?
Wondering if God is closed off,
In another world away;
That He may even be keeping you at bay?

Perhaps you believe that God is displeased with you,
Looking down in disapproval and annoyance;
Maybe you feel that you're just not good enough,
That, in God's eyes, you're not in the right stance.

But God is not critical and distant,
God is LOVE.
He wants relationship with you and with me.
A relationship that we can taste and see.

Psalm 34:8
Nehemiah 8:10
Genesis 3:8-9
