Hope - Loud and Clear

I invite you to read my poem:

The waves CRASH all around
With force that pound and pound
Knock after knock
I'm tired, and my heart is raw
I start entertaining the thoughts that I can't take anymore.

But there is hope inside of me
And I will NOT let it be silent
No
Give it a megaphone!
Cause I am not alone.

Jesus my Shepherd

I invite you to read my poem.

No matter where I go
You are there,
There in the worries that won't let me be
You say cast them over to Me.

No matter what I do
You are there,
Whether it's in my daily routine,
And all the places that I've been.

No matter what I think
You are there,
Calling me to meditate on Your Word
And offering up a prayer.

No matter what I hear
You are there,
Calling me to come up higher
Come, pull up a chair.

No matter what I see
You are there,
Reminding me that there is life after death
On the Cross, you gave up Your final breath.

You Are

You are so absolutely wonderful
So patient
Not willing that any should perish
When we throw off this tent. 

You are so absolutely wonderful
So forgiving
You forgive us
Our repentance and praises, we bring. 

You are so absolutely wonderful
So protective
We are Your sheep
Your love is so very deep.

You are so absolutely wonderful
So giving
No good thing will You withhold
For those of us who are of Your fold.

You are so absolutely wonderful
So loving
You have offered everlasting life with You
And freedom too.

You are so absolutely wonderful
So corrective
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me
So that my soul will live.

Poem: Choose Life

There are 2 doors.

One leads to a chance at life.

The other, to death.

Choose life for your unborn.

Don't take away her breath.

Oh how God loves to create
The giraffe with his looong neck
Bears who like to roam
Camels; all over the desert they trek.

Black panthers
Pretty pink flamingos
Prickly spiky porcupines
And zebras, with their striped lines.

Elephants with their long trunks
Cats with their sweet, "meow"
Playful whales
And the grazing cow. 


Bees, buz, buz, buz
Bugs of all different shapes and sizes
Birds flying high in the sky
Pelicans - low over the water, they fly. 

Woof woof barks the dog
Horses neigh
Magpies sing
And many crows make a din.

The dingo roams
The kangaroo hops
The koala climbs
To the tree tops.
 
In the beginning
God made all the animals on the earth
And indeed they were very good
To God, they were of much worth.

Genesis 1:31: Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day. 

The Lion of the Tribe of Judah - KING!

I invite you to read my poem.

The Lion of the Tribe of Judah - KING!
To Him we sing.
Songs of worship we bring,
On instruments of string. 

Our King is wise
You can see it in His eyes.
Our beautiful King,
Worship Him, each heart cries.

Our King is majestic
Royal!
He is the King of kings,
His Kingdom, He brings.

Our King is powerful
He came as the Lamb of God.
But He will come to Zion,
And will stand as the Roaring Lion!

1 Timothy 6:15: which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of Lords,

Revelation 5:5: But one of the elders said to me, "Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals."

What is Life?

I invite you to read my poem.

What is life?
Is it making the most of it?
Is it a life-long list of experiences?
Is it being honoured?
Is it a walk down the line of sameness?

What is life?
A mere existence?
Perhaps a bucket list?
Regret, shame or bitterness
Perhaps, anyone's guess.

What is life?
A search for treasures?
A search for fame?
A search for notoriety?
A search for the latest trending game?

What is life?
Is it heartache,
Pain,
Grief,
Or a life that is all too brief?

There is one who had the power of death
This one is the devil
But Jesus
Through (His own) death
Released us.

Although we might die
We live
Although we might suffer
We rejoice
And lift up our voice.
