I invite you to read my poem.
Some tried to put out the Light
The Light was put in darkness, for 3 nights, and 3 days,
They thought this was the end; foes, strangers,
And finally even His friends parted and went their own ways.
He gave His life a ransom for many
All those who would come to Him
He laid His life down
But death could not hold the One who wears the Crown.
Death and darkness once went hand in hand
But this is no longer true
Although we may die, we can have life,
Through Jesus, we can have life anew!
It is finished, He cried!
His spirit He then gave up
Enveloped in darkness
He had drunk the cup.
All thought this was the end
Many felt lost, sad and bewildered
Why had He come?
The last three years were now a mystery, and somewhat blurred.
But death and darkness could not hold Him
The Light emerged from the dark stronghold
Leaving the tomb empty
To Jesus' disciples Mary went and told.
God's sun might shine into the dark open tomb
But God's Son shines into the dark cold world
Jesus is the true Light which gives light to every man
Of every tribe, nation, and every clan.
Bible verses: John 1:6-9. John Chapter 20.

One Flower
Yet three make the one
Beautiful in its completeness
Just like Father, Spirit, Son.
I invite you to read a poem.
As I gaze upon the silky oak
In all it's flowering glory
Gold shines in a beautiful blue sky
I bet it could tell a story!
Many birds swarming to it
It's like a musical tree
Colour is not it's only blessing
It's nectar also draws the butterfly and the bee.
I invite you to read my poem.
In the beginning was the Word,
Jesus is The Word
The Word became flesh and dwelt among us,
Read on, if you have not yet heard.
Jesus is the Word,
He is the way, the truth, and the life
No one comes to the Father except through His Son,
Only Jesus; He's the One.
Bible verses: John 1:1, John 1:14, John 14:6

I invite you to read a poem that I've written.
Caroling magpies
A beautiful song
Morning long.
On the power lines in the distance
I could see the silhouette of these sweet birds
Birds of a feather
Who had flocked together.
Then I heard it
A crow
A different sound
From among the flow.
He had joined in the choir
Contributing too
Singing his tune
Music by the motley crew.

I invite you to read my poem.
Where or who do you place your hope
Is it a person, or a place?
Perhaps a politician or party, doctor or scientist
Or perhaps it's something, that you continue to chase.
Is it man in whom you place your hope?
Or maybe a business or career
What about stored riches,
Or a seer,
Perhaps even a good news report of something that you hear.
God's children aren't immune to hurt,
But we know Who Hope Is.
We know what it is to be hard-pressed on every side
But we know, we are His
And in Him, we abide.

I invite you to read my poem.
My soul is in rest
My soul is fed.
He restores my soul
For me, He bled.
My soul is satisfied
Already knowing its home.
My soul is anchored in hope
I leave you with this question, from my poem.
How's your soul?
Is there a hole.
Is it satisfied?
If not, come to the One, who can make it whole.
Psalm 23:3
Hebrews 6:19-20
1 Peter 1:3-5
